Past Brain Bees
The Brain Bee Challenge was introduced in New Zealand in 2007, with regional finals taking place in Auckland. In 2008, Otago/Southland competition joined the competition.

New Zealand winner: Stephen Mackereth
Stephen will represent New Zealand at the International Brain Bee in Baltimore, USA, in 2009.
Auckland region winner: Stephen Mackereth, Kings College, Auckland
Otago/Southland region winner: Kieran Bunn, Logan Park High School, Dunedin
Stephen and Kieran competed in the Australia-New Zealand finals at the Queensland Brain Institute in August 2008, where Stephen was named New Zealand Brain Bee Champion.

In 2007, both William and George represented New Zealand in the Australia-New Zealand Brain Bee finals at the joint Australasian Neuroscience Society – International Brain research Organization meeting in Melbourne. They were placed second and third in the overall competition. |
