2018 North Island Brain Bee Competition

Who can attend?

Invitations to attend the event have been sent to our participating schools. Only those students invited and a supervising adult (usually 1 teacher) are able to attend. If you believe special circumstances require more than one supervising adult please contact the event administrator, Mirelle Powell to discuss.

Supervising Adult - The supervising adult is responsible for the student(s) for the entire day and must remain with them at each event. Students without a supervising adult will not be permitted to attend the event.

Tutors (Past student participant), Siblings and additional family members ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND. We regret this is not possible logistically or financially. Please make sure your students are aware of these restrictions. Whilst we would very much like to be in a position to welcome along others to the Brain Bee Finals, unfortunately venue and financial constraints prohibit this.

Study guide

Questions for Round 2 will be based on the information contained in the 2012 edition of the book Brain Facts. A Primer on the Brain and Nervous System by the Society for Neuroscience SFN).
